For two years now, Casagami has been illustrating, in small, what the customers of the photovoltaic company ENPAL, in Germany, will install in large on the roof of their house. In this way, Casagami is faithful to its objective of promoting green energy and eco-responsible behaviour.

Today, we are particularly pleased to note the successes of ENPAL since its creation and to relay the following statement:

A sustainable development success story

According to the Deloitte Fast 50 Award, the photovoltaic start-up Enpal is by far the fastest growing technology company in Germany.

Enpal offers solar systems in a 20-year rental model. This means that there are no high investment costs for the owners. And after a period of 20 years, the system can be taken back for just one euro. Services range from advice and planning to installation. Enpal takes care of the entire process. Enpal's goal is to provide one million households with their own solar system by the end of the decade. Enpal currently employs over 1,000 people, including over 400 of its own solar technicians.

During the year, Enpal raised several million Euros in funding.

German sustainability award for photovoltaic start-up Enpal

At the German Sustainability Award, which was presented in Düsseldorf on 3 December 2021, Enpal was the winner in the "Next Economy" category. With eight competitions, more than 1,000 applicants and 2,000 guests at the closing events, the German Sustainability Award is the most comprehensive award of its kind in Europe. According to the company, the Enpal team won over the jury not least because of the deep-rootedness of sustainability in its corporate strategy and its active contribution to combating the climate crisis. For this, Enpal received the Next Economy Award 2022.

Enpal-AI simplifies photovoltaic planning

The Corporate Digital Responsibility Award (CDR Award) promotes commitment to sustainability and responsibility in the digital age. It was presented on 6 December 2021 in Munich. Enpal is among the winners in the category "CDR and New Business Models".

This is because the use of digital technologies - such as artificial intelligence - in the planning of the solar systems and the Enpal application has been decisive here. "Enpal's scalable digital business model avoids investment risks and provides effective incentives for deploying regenerative energy production on the roofs of existing houses," said Birgit Riess, spokesperson for the responsible jury group.

The digital interaction with the customer, from planning to operation to system configuration, enables optimisation supported by artificial intelligence in many ways. In the future, it will also be possible to adapt to fluctuations in the availability of electricity.

In addition, a vote by the media platform Tech & Nature selected Enpal from among 20 candidates as "Green Impact Start-up of the Year 2021". The award is supported by the management consultancy EY. "Enpal is an absolute pioneer in the field of solar energy and, as a 'green unicorn', has an impressive growth story - a great company and a very well-deserved winner," said Florian Haas, head of start-up EY Austria.

Finally, the business magazine Capital has also included Enpal's founder and CEO Mario Kohlen in its "Top 40 under 40" list. With this annual list, Capital rewards the best talents under 40 from management, politics and society.
